Garegin Gevorgyan has held the position of Member of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer of Ardshinbank CJSC since June 2025. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Executive Director at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion. Mr. Gevorgyan has nearly three decades of extensive experience in financial regulation, banking, and executive management. He began his professional career at the Central Bank of Armenia in 1996, working as a Senior Specialist in the Reserve Management Division. He later served for nearly two years as Head of the Financial Risk Management Department. In 2000, Mr. Gevorgyan joined InterEquity Capital Partners as a Research Analyst, gaining valuable insights into private equity markets. He then became Director of the Securities Center at Unibank CJSC. From 2002 to 2004, he worked with the USAID Bank Training Program as a Senior Banking Advisor. His executive management career continued at Cascade Credit UCO CJSC, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, he joined Symbiotics as a Consultant on Institutional Borrower Engagement. That same year, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of SEF International UCO LLC, a position he held for more than 13 years. In 2022, Mr. Gevorgyan returned to the Central Bank of Armenia, this time as Director of the Financial Stability and Regulation Department. He is a CFA charterholder, a graduate of Harvard Business School, and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Economics, as well as a PhD in Economics from Yerevan State University.
