Steve Mackie

Steve Mackie is the Founder and Managing Director of Shourouk Media, a Qatar-based media and communications company that specializes in strategic storytelling, podcast production, branding, and ecosystem development. With over 17 years of experience across entrepreneurship, business advisory, and media engagement in the Middle East, Steve has played a central role in building platforms that connect, educate, and inspire. He is the creator of “In The Game”, Qatar’s first sports podcast, and “I Wanna Grow”, which highlights the stories of entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers. Through these platforms, he has interviewed nearly 200 leaders and supported initiatives that have reached millions of viewers. Prior to launching Shourouk Media, Steve worked closely with accelerators, incubators, and national programs in Qatar, advising startups and SMEs through partnerships with organizations such as the #DHL4SMEs Qatar Development Bank, SCALE7, Qatar SportsTech and the British Council. Steve is passionate about regional growth and believes in the power of media to shape perception, foster opportunity, and amplify voices that matter.
