Tech Entrepreneur
Armenia
Sargis Karapetyan is the CEO of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), the tech association that brings together over 250 companies, including 73 percent of the country’s top high-tech taxpayers. UATE drives progress through four key pillars: education through Armath Makerspaces, the country’s largest STEM program and most successful public-private partnership, now operating in over 650 schools; innovation through regional events like DigiTec; advocacy with a focus on tech-forward policy-making; and internationalization. With a vision of Armenia as a high-tech powerhouse and a mission to develop the country’s technological ecosystem, Sargis, being a tech entrepreneur himself, serves the community to support the long- term growth of Armenia’s tech sector.
