Artak Robert Melkonyan In UNDP Artak works on addressing financing of SDGs through engagements with private sector using innovative impact factored financial frameworks for different asset classes. As Senior Advisor on Equity Finance and Funds for UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub and Global Lead for UNDP Impact Venture Accelerators he has led accelerators in over a dozen countries and catalyzed partnerships with number of VC and PE funds. In 2019, he has been named amongst Top 100 Fintech for SDG Influencers. Artak has 30-year track record of exposure to businesses and development projects in over 40 countries. Before joining UNDP, he headed large venture philanthropy fund in Eastern Europe; prior to that he was Senior VP with Dun & Bradstreet and led expansion of the company’s financial infrastructure business in Middle East, South Asia and Africa. His previous experience includes management roles in private equity, Big4, banking, top government and international organizations. Artak also served as Dean of Business at French University of Armenia and taught courses in University Lyon 3, Thammasat University, Thailand, American University of Armenia; he is a Board Member of Armenian Society of Fellows. He earned master’s degrees in AUA, State Engineering University of Armenia, and graduated executive programs at Georgetown University and INSEAD.
